The update of this eclectic New York City apartment was inspired by special objects and colorful tilework collected during world travels by the clients. The clients requested that updates to their 1891 landmark — originally a warehouse with Flemish architecture and converted into apartments in the 1970s — accentuate their tastes and collections.
Custom and found tilework guided the vision. Enameled lava stone counters, kitchen ceiling soundproofing, architectural window updates, new cabinetry, and lighting completed the highly personal renovation.
