Founded by Bob Reid in 2010, ReidBuild is a full-service general contractor and construction management company specializing in residential renovation and additions, historical landmark renovation, and new construction in NYC, Brooklyn, and Hudson Valley.

We’re known for combining innovative design solutions with expert craftsmanship to deliver exceptional, enduring structures. Bob personally oversees every project, blending a builder’s expertise with an artisan’s eye. His professional, collaborative style and hands-on approach are a cornerstone of our business, as is our tight-knit extended family of subcontractors and vendors. ReidBuild’s unique offering is a culmination of Bob’s lifetime dedication to mastering design and craftsmanship. He first developed a passion for design and drawing during his childhood spent on the northeast coast of Scotland. After garnering an Honors Degree in Industrial Design from Staffordshire University and a diploma in graphic design, he honed his craft as an architectural draftsman and commercial interior designer in London. He later worked as a lighting designer in Canada. After moving to the United States, he mastered the art of custom wood furniture and cabinetry before founding ReidBuild.
